Cabinet Face Frame

Cabinet Sides

Cabinet sides are 1/2" thick plywood with a maple wood-grain print interior. Sides are dadoed into the face frame and pinned and glued for strength. Cabinet sides are dadoed to accept the cabinet floor, ceiling and back.

Finished Ends (FE): Finished Ends are 1/2" thick plywood with a wood-grain melamine interior and an exterior veneer and finish to match the cabinet face.

Premium Finished Ends (PFE): Premium Finished Ends are 3/4" thick plywood tongue and grooved into the face frame with a Birch veneer interior and an exterior veneer and finish to match the cabinet face.

Cabinet Floor & Ceiling

The cabinet floor and ceiling are 1/2" MDF with a durable, wood-grain print interior. The floor and ceiling are dadoed into the cabinet sides and face frame and secured with pins and glue. Wall bottoms are a natural wood-grain print.

Cabinet Back

The captive cabinet back is 1/8" hardboard with a wood-grain print interior and is dadoed into the cabinet sides and recessed 3/8". The back is secured and reinforced with a 3/8" nailer, steel pins and glue.

Cabinet Shelves

Shelves are 3/4" thick industrial board with a durable, wood-grain melamine on both sides and matching edgebanding on the front edge. Shelf pegs are adjustable every 1 1/4". Finished shelves (for a finished interior) are 3/4" plywood with a veneer and finish to match the cabinet face.

Cabinet Interior

Cabinet interiors are a durable melamine with a natural wood-grain print. A finished interior has a veneer and finish to match the cabinet face.

Cabinet Toe Space

The toe space is 4 1/2" high x 3 1/2" deep and is unfinished. Toe space for vanities is 3 1/2" high. A 1/8" thick, finished plywood toe board is included standard and is sent loose in 8' lengths to provide a seamless, finished toe space for final installation.

Cabinet Box

Rockglen drawer box is constructed of 3/4" thick, solid Aspen and dovetailed at each corner. The 1/4" thick captive bottom is dadoed into the drawer box sides, front and back and recessed 3/8". Top edges are eased and the entire drawer box receives a catalyzed conversion varnish finish. Lifetime guarantee.

Drawer Slides

The Rockglen drawer slide is a concealed, Blum® Tandem Undermount slide with a 100 lb. capacity. This slide is of durable steel construction with a smooth gliding roller system and a self-closing feature. Self-adjusting mounting brackets center the drawer for reliable operation. Height adjustment tabs on the front of the slide offer easy adjustment. 3/4 extension, 100 lb.capacity. Lifetime Guarantee. Full extension Blumotion self-closing upgrade available. I-Beam Reinforced Construction

Base cabinets are built with an "I-Beam" construction to offer superb strength and
stability for the cabinet. Cabinet sides and the face frame are dadoed to accept the 3/8" beams that run front-to-back on the cabinet. I-Beams are secured to the back of the cabinet with a 3/4" hardwood nailing cleat.
